Day 3 - Gates of Olympus 2500 - Slot Review

I knew how this would go, but since it dropped earlier today, we had to give the newest member of the Gates of Olympus series a try :)

This one's got a max payout potential of x25,000, but to support that, I'd guess they tuned the math to pull from the base game itself — which left the base game feeling pretty flat. I'll give it this though: the small design touches and animations are nice.

It was almost a dead start — only a $5.75 win in the base game across the first 100 spins. And the dead spin stretch was no joke. Up until around spin 500, we didn't land a decent base game win, see a big multiplier drop, or trigger a bonus.

Right before spin 500, we finally triggered our first free spin round, but the wheel landed on the worst option — the Free Spin 1 bonus round. We got back roughly $13 from it, a little over a 60x multiplier.

About 150 dead spins later, we triggered the same bonus round again, and this time it paid back a "generous" $1 :D

Did we get to see the true potential of this game in the base game across 1000 spins? Not even close. The math on this one is clearly built more for bonus-buy players who enjoy those big buys. If you're a base game player like me, I'd steer clear. If you enjoy feature bets and bonus buys, and have the bankroll to stay patient, this one might be your type.
