Gator Hunters 2

On Day 19, we wanted some Nolimit City vibes and played Gator Hunters 2, an extremely volatile 6x5 scatter-pays slot with x30,000 max potential. Everything revolves around the Revolver, where bullets add multipliers to your win and Fire Zones upgrade the symbols. We triggered the Gatornado bonus 6 times, with a best of x197, and a few solid base game hits. A dry session, but another great slot. APPROVED!

Day 19 - Gator Hunters 2 - Slot Review

On Day 19, I wanted some Nolimit City vibes, so I gave one of their latest releases a try: Gator Hunters 2.

It’s a 6x5 scatter-pays slot with a x30,000 max multiplier potential, and it’s extremely volatile. It’s one of those slots that can drain your wallet fast, yet can also get you an early payday.

You need 8 or more of the same symbol anywhere on the grid for a win. Winners are removed and new symbols drop in. The twist is that the whole game is built around the Revolver, and everything else exists to load it or fire it.

At the start of every spin, a Fire Zone (2x2, 3x3, 4x4 or 5x6) is randomly placed on the reels, and any special symbol that lands inside it gets upgraded. Wilds get a x2, x3 or x10 multiplier, Eaters become Super Eaters, Bonus symbols become Super Bonus symbols, and Revolvers get higher bullet values.

The Eater is the swamp’s cleaner. When a spin has no winning combination, it eats a random number of symbols (and every copy of them), new symbols drop in, and the Eater turns into a Wild. A Super Eater does the same, but its Wild gets x2, x3 or x10.

Once there are no more wins and no more Eaters, the Revolvers fire. Each one has a set of bullets and some empty chambers. The cylinder spins and picks one position, and if it hits a bullet, that bullet’s multiplier is added to the total win multiplier, which then applies to the spin’s win. There are 11 bullet types, from x2 all the way up to x3000, and up to 6 Revolvers can land at once.

Upgraded Revolvers are nastier. A Super Revolver spins one more time if it hits a bullet, and a Super Fire Revolver forces every Revolver with bullets to spin again.

The bonus rounds:

Gatornado Spins (3 Bonus symbols): 7 spins, +1 for each Bonus symbol and +2 for each Super Bonus symbol that lands. The total multiplier is kept for the whole feature, but it only applies to wins from spins where a Revolver lands and hits a bullet. Fire Gatornado Spins (4 Bonus symbols): 9 spins. The Fire Zone is always 4x4 or 5x6, and every Revolver is a Super Fire Revolver. Bullet Juicer (bonus buy only, 390x): 7 spins with fully loaded Revolvers.

After a round, you may also get the chance to buy an Extra Spin that keeps your total multiplier and any Revolvers with bullets left. It only shows up after a scatter win, and the price depends on the multiplier you’re carrying.

During my 1,000 spins, I triggered the Gatornado bonus 6 times, which is even better than the published hit rate of roughly once every 200 spins.

The one I triggered in the first 100 spins was the highest paying, at x197. The rest were mediocre, x50 at best. We also hit some quite decent wins in the base game, which made up for it slightly.

There were a couple of moments with 3 Revolvers on the screen, but none of them hit bullets back to back to stack the multipliers.

So it was a dry session, but another great slot after all. APPROVED!
